On Apricots & Owls

Here’s a fun fact on the name “apricotowl“!

The name came about from my other social media escapade. It begins with ‘t’, ends with ‘r’, features endless scrolling and fandoms and as its citizens say, “Thou shall not name…”. No, where are you going? Come back—!

Well, jokes aside, shall we?

I like owls. They symbolise wisdom – though I hear they aren’t, scientifically, the smartest birds. Even before the D.O.P.E. test – which we shall take with a pinch of salt – claimed I was predominantly Owl. Their absurdly large, round shiny eyes. Their– alright that’s not really why I like owls. I just do. It’s strange. They are adorable in a quaint little way. I feel a connection to their feathery quaintness.

Apricot seemed a good accompaniment to “owl”. I’m abashed to admit I haven’t properly had an apricot. I just like the sound of it. How odd of me, or is it not?

The tagline “quaint little nest” came naturally with the name.

So I am…

Apricot Owl, snuggling with some pretty sparkly goodies in a quaint little nest ;)

I like it! It sounds adorable :) it’s fairly unique too, which was why I clicked on this post in the first place. It’s a great way to increase readership, so kudos!
