Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo

Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo

Picked this up from Watsons recently (the ubiquitous Singapore drugstore) in dark brown. It’s a new item from Maybelline. Normally, I wouldn’t think of reviewing a brow item. But hey, I found this useful and wanted to share!

Don’t mind the low eyeliner wing! It’s a Korean trend that’s all over Asia now. It gives a softer, feminine feel that’s different from the sexy va-va-voom cat-eyes we’re used to ;)

I have naturally not-so-pretty reversed/triangular (what do you call them?) brows. Thin in the front and thick at the arch. I never touch the front of my brows – they’re naturally skinny and sparse. The bane of my existence! Okay, maybe not :P

The duo-ended brow pencil is surprisingly useful! I nearly wrote it off on first glance…

There’s a springy sponge loaded with brow powder on one end. The other end is a standard retractable brow pencil. The powder end is great for filling the sparse front of my brows softly and naturally.

The powder is a lighter brown, while the pencil is easily buildable. It creates lines as dense or precise as needed for the brow area. I like pencils like these, not too pigmented to avoid the harsh drawn-in brow look.

Surprisingly useful! I like it. There’s effectively 2 shades (lighter brow powder, darker pencil). If you’re thinking of getting a new brow tool, you could try this instead of a brow powder or pencil. Fulfills both functions and works well!

I may have to give this a try. Currently, my go-to product for filling in my eyebrows is a brown eyeliner pencil that tends to glob on in spots if I’m not careful. Doesn’t make for much fun when I am in a hurry. I also have the Anastasia Beauty Express kit which comes with wax, a sculpting brush, a cream colour meant to place beneath the brow to add dimension, and dual shades of brown for the eyebrows. It’s wonderful, but also a bit time consuming. Since sometimes I have lazy mornings where I just don’t care but still want to look decent, this would be a perfect product.

    Thanks for sharing!

Oh no, I suppose our brow hairs encourage the globbing due to the creamier nature of eyeliner pencils.

I’ve heard a lot about Anastasia. Might give it a roll sometime. Yes, those lazy mornings when you just wanna do a quick & easy brow… on the train (ahem :P)!

My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it!
