The Healthy Mix Serum is a gel foundation that promises natural coverage. I bought this in no. 52 Vanilla, which perfectly matches my skintone. I’ve seen multiple good reviews, and did love it at first. But there’s some major downsides…
It’s a lightweight gel, spreads smoothly and a little goes a long way.
I have dry skin, in hot summery Singapore weather. By itself, it looks flawless for 1-2h and then gets greasy. With Innisfree No Sebum powder, it lasted around 5h, then my nose got completely greasy. It can cling onto dry spots on my forehead and cheeks, even after moisturising.
Coverage: Medium to light
Lasting power: Short
Scent: Delicious berries, mmm
- Lightweight, perfectly natural skin-like finish – When I wore this, I was told it didn’t look like I had any foundation at all ;)
- Doesn’t get cakey
- Short lasting power, needs touchups
I’m torn on this. It looks and feels so perfect but isn’t longwearing as claimed. I suggest to be prepared to blot throughout the day. It gets greasy fast despite my dry skin and may emphasise dry spots at times. I’m glad it worked so well for other reviewers. I suspect it performs fantastic in a different climate, but not in our high heat and humidity. So I suggest to perhaps get a sample if you can, just in case ;)
I’ve been using the Innisfree Summer Cushion instead, which I feel holds up much better for our hot humid climate.
