Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara Review

Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara Review

The Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara – a mouthful – seems an extension to our top favourite original The Falsies. A dual-ended mascara that promises to “amplify lashes 360” for “all around lash glam”. Gotta love the marketing fluff XD

It’s a lightweight, quick drying formula which I generally find to hold curl better. Will this be a hit like our original The Falsies? Let’s see!

It features a larger wand for upper lashes and a tiny wand for lower lashes on the other side. The tiny wand helps to avoid getting mascara on your lower eyelids.

But wait, the brush-like spoolie on the big wand catches on lashes better! One step forward, one step back?

Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara Review

A before and after on curled lashes. About 3 coats of mascara.

The Breakdown

  • Volumising: Good.
  • Lengthening: Good. Could provide more though.
  • Curling: Good. Held my curls up all day.
  • Lasting Power: Excellent. Minimal smudging.

The Verdict

A decent mascara that does what you expect it to. It feels slightly like the original “The Falsies”, but with double wands. It provides good volume, but little length. I layer it with a fibre mascara on days when I want a little extra push ;) Still on a mission for that perfect mascara.

What are your favourite mascaras? I would love to hear them!

I love my Too Faced Better than Sex mascara (seems to be a favourite around here!). The small brush on this Maybelline mascara is intriguing.. the problem with Better than Sex is the giant brush, makes it hard to get your bottom lashes and not end up looking like a mess! :-)
