After a great experience with the Innisfree Long Wear BB Cushion, I had to put its tubed cousin to the test. After all, if the cushion formula works so well, surely the tube formula would be a promising alternative?
Free from animal ingredients, talc and colourants, it contains Innisfree’s signature green complex that claims to promote healthy skin. It also claims to give long-lasting, matte skin and does not oxidise to a darker shade.
Hmmm! Let’s find out, shall we?
Coverage: Medium to light
Lasting power: Long
Shades: Limited, only 2 on the Innisfree official site
- Long-wearing, matte but can get dewy over the day
- Lightweight and comfortable
- Doesn’t oxidise much, stays fairly bright throughout the day
- Doesn’t significantly improve skin texture
- Can cling to and emphasise dry skin
- Limited shades
Hmmm, it’s really iffy.
I do enjoy Innisfree as a brand and have had positive experiences with their other products. But this? It’s iffy. It looks alright on same days and bad on others. In my experience, this BB cream appeared good on application. But I remember looking into the elevator mirror on many occasions later in the day and going “wait… why does my skin look dry and bumpy?”
I’ve tested it for months and it was either being “alright” or downright unflattering.
I wouldn’t recommend it, especially not for dry skin. Still, that doesn’t mean it didn’t work for others. I would love to hear your opinions!
Have you tried this? What do you think? What is your favourite BB cream?
