Innisfree Green Barley Cleansing Cream Review

innisfree green barley cleansing cream review

Innisfree is a well-known South Korean skincare and makeup brand, known for their Jeju-inspired lines of natural, “green” products. Tree hugging goodness, anyone?

Cleansing foams tend to strip moisture from our skin. If you’ve ever experienced dry, flaky and tight skin after a foam cleanser, you know what I mean ;) One solution? Cleansing creams.

Anyone else have a hard time finding good cleansing creams? After serious searching, I found this gem. The Innisfree Green barley Cleansing Cream has been my go-to everyday cleanser the past few months. I’m stoked to share this find!

Curious? Let’s check it out!

Side note: I was using and about to review the excellent Minimal cream cleanser from Innisfree, which I’ve completely finished, but couldn’t find it on my last visit to the store.

The Breakdown...

  • Cleansing Power: Good yet gentle. It dissolves light makeup. I would still recommend an actual makeup remover before cleanser though, to be certain your skin is 100% clean and fresh.
  • Texture: Lightweight, bouncy and creamy
  • Scent: Fresh, slightly tangy. Good perk-me-up in the morning

The Verdict…

A good yet gentle cleanser that doesn’t dry out the skin. It leaves my skin feeling clean and comfortable. It gives a feeling of being sufficiently hydrated and still in good balance, that I don’t feel the need to moisturise immediately afterwards. I’ve found it to really get along with my dry and sensitive skin. I hope folks with a similar skin type might find this helpful.

I would recommend this cleanser for those looking for alternatives to foam cleansers, or find other cleansers drying. Or even if you’re looking to experiment with your cleansing routine.
