Let’s jump into the mini reviews & swatches, shall we?
Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Unstoppable
A warm, muted peachy pink blush that complements warm-toned looks and skintones. Smooth and finely milled, a little goes a long way. There is a mild, odd scent only noticeable if you sniff the pan. A good complement for the deeper, warmer makeup and fashion colour palettes in fall/winter.
Drench Lip Splash Lipstick in Living
A deep, rich nude mauve lipstick. If you have dry lips (I do), this might be a tad drying and best worn over lip balm. Excellent coverage with a rich, smooth texture. A yummy soft, slightly fruity scent. It stains the lips lightly and fades elegantly. I love this as a my lips but better (MLBB) shade.
Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara
Disappointing. It went on fine on the 1st coat, but became clumpy from the 2nd. Weighed my lashes down, couldn’t hold a curl. Yes, it does add good volume and length, but we can find better mascaras that do it all in the drugstore (Hint: Maybelline ;)).
A nice taste of Tarte. If you’re new to Tarte and want to give them a try, this set might be worth checking out at $22. The warm, muted shades are perfect for the fall/winter season. Personally, I’m bummed out by the mascara, but I know I’ll enjoy the new members in my blush and lipstick collection.
